EVENT PLANNING…Our Process

PLANNING OBJECTIVE
Table Field Catering prides itself on offering not only great food, but exceptional project management services to help you plan and execute your event. Our process, outlined below in chronological order, is designed to heighten the natural enjoyment that's part of event planning.  Its included as part of our special event catering services.  We secure everything you'll need: tents, linens, and other rentals, make referrals for and/or coordinate other vendors, and work with you to design all logistical elements from your floor plan to the timeline.

MENU DESIGN
You meet with our chef to design your menu and share your event vision.  To facilitate the highest possible quality of food, our chef recognizes a venue's culinary capacity and suggests choices that can be executed flawlessly.  Let us buy you a cup of coffee as we discuss all the delicious details.  Call or email today to set up an appointment.
TASTING
We offer four course tastings for a small modest fee, refundable (for two guests) upon securing our services.  Bring some friends as we showcase our approach to seasonally smart cuisine or prepare specific items from your event's personalized menu.  Whatever your preference, we look forward to introducing you to our cuisine.

MENU REDESIGN/CONTRACT REVIEW (OPTIONAL)
Sometimes menus need to be revised or other decision makers want to participate in the process.  More often than not, the first round of the menu design process suffices, but this step allows for additional client participation as required.  This meeting also facilitates a line by line review of our contract that specify roles and expectations, reviewing details like: headcount deadlines, payment due dates, timeline parameters, vendor and children meals, etc.  This meeting can be via teleconference or face to face, whichever you prefer.
LOGISTICAL WALK THROUGH
Project management is a large part of our service.  We meet at your venue to start planning all the details like designing a floor plan and timeline that promotes traffic flow and maximize mingling, toasts, and dancing time.   We apply color theory, use the space and your ideas as inspiration as we look at china, glass, silver patterns and linen swatches.  We gather pages of information to generate a detailed report that we send to you for your approval.

PHONE CHECK IN
Three weeks before your event, we schedule a teleconference to go over last minute details and answer any final questions.  This concentrated service burst promotes efficiency & prevents small but important details from slipping through the cracks.  Most importantly, it gives you one on one time with your day of coordinator.  The result is a calm peaceful feeling of anticipation knowing that your event plan will be executed by seasoned professionals.
THE BIG DAY
Table Field Catering believes in no last minute surprises.  The day of event coordinator that you're expecting, is the one that's there.  We even arrive early to receive & inventory rentals, set up our kitchen space, tables and chairs.  Our clients are able to enjoy their special day as our team implements the event's plan.

"Being "good food" was not enough - we wanted someone who was also local and environmentally-friendly...you were sustainable - maximizing recycling, sourcing local food, and minimizing travel to and from the venue. Thank you for respecting our wishes and creating a delicious, enjoyable, sustainable wedding experience! "    Evan, Environmentally Conscious Baltimore Groom
" Paul had coffee with me, at a Catonsville Coffee Shop, and brainstormed a menu that was creative, varied, and (as many, many guests noted) "the best wedding food ever." It wasn't just the catering food, as many have noted, Rebecca and team are excellent event planners who make sure everything is accounted for ahead of time so you can enjoy your day. "  Alyssa, another happy Washington bride
