Sustainability Requires Commitment

This commitment means we put values before profit.  It means we take the extra time to procure ingredients at farmers' markets, arrange carpooling and thoughtfully train our staff on recycling procedures.  This effort is perpetually ongoing as we strive to improve our environment, economy and community.  The following are but a few of the practices that have granted Table Field Catering entry into Maryland's Green Registry.

Provisioning locally is a process that begins with seasonally smart menu design. We work with our clients to support our local farmers: preserving agricultural lands & open space, reducing CO2 emissions, and strengthening our local economy.

When a budget requires disposables, we use chic & biodegradable verterra ware made from renewable resources.

Recycling is the norm at Table Field Catering. Glass, bimetal cans, plastic, aluminum, and corrugated cardboard are recycled at our kitchen & job sites. Ask to see all prospective caterers recycling program when attending tastings.

Whenever possible, our event staff carpools. In addition to cutting down our carbon footprint, we discuss your event's details on route and save parking spaces for your guests.

We participate in the Oyster Recovery Project through our Seafood Vendors, Congressional Seafood and Harrison's Seafood.

"Being "good food" was not enough - we wanted someone who was also local and environmentally-friendly...you were sustainable - maximizing recycling, sourcing local food, and minimizing travel to and from the venue. Thank you for respecting our wishes and creating a delicious, enjoyable, sustainable wedding experience! "    Evan, Environmentally Conscious Baltimore Groom
" Paul had coffee with me, at a Catonsville Coffee Shop, and brainstormed a menu that was creative, varied, and (as many, many guests noted) "the best wedding food ever." It wasn't just the catering food, as many have noted, Rebecca and team are excellent event planners who make sure everything is accounted for ahead of time so you can enjoy your day. "  Alyssa, another happy Washington bride
